PDCCO offers full service Custom Die Casting in both aluminum and zinc alloys. Satisfying customers since 1918, we are large enough to fulfill your requirements yet provide personal attention with a company history of quality products on schedule and within budget.

The plant operates on a 24 hour / 5 day week schedule. We cater to or surpass industry standards for delivery and service. The facility includes 24,000 sq. feet of production space plus warehouses with a total of 9,200 sq. feet of storage.

At PDCCO, we believe that "die casting" is the shortest distance between ingot and finished part." And our belief is borne by the fact that PDCCO customers frequently use our casting as received.

Design
PDCCO engineers design quality into every die. It's the first measure we take to ensure our customers' satisfaction. Whether the casting will employ aluminum or zinc, multi-units or singular, we know that our involvement is but the first step of many toward the final production of your equipment or product.

The key to our success is working closely with your engineering, research and development, and quality control personnel, in addition to purchasing. The design and production issues can be addressed and solutions found to add value.

To start the quoting process we need certain information to ensure that our services can fit your requirements. There are many casting methods, and our process High Pressure Die Casting involves molten metal forced into a steel die under high pressure.


Quoting
These simple questions will help speed your RFQ process:

1.) Alloy Specification?


We custom cast both aluminum and zinc. Our Standard alloys are the most cost effective way for us to die cast your product. Other alloys would require special handling and only higher quantities. Alloy specification (not die cast alloys) will require other casting methods. Often prototype materials are not die cast alloys, see Aluminum or Zinc for more information about the properties of our alloys, and if substitutions can be made.

2.) Quantity Requirements?

Quantity runs for us means as low as 500 pieces to orders in the hundreds of thousands. (You can use the form above to receive a complete checklist of information needed for existing tooling quotes.) We will even quote lower than our minimum for existing tooling, but must add a die setup charge.

3.) Is the part within our size range?

The following size and weight of parts range is just a general guideline. Part configuration and die design will be the final determinant if we can produce your part:

4.) Print or drawing with dimensions available?

To speed the quoting process this is a must. A sample (prototype) is very desirable.

Tooling / Part Sizes
We can expedite your design requirements with our new CAD system and direct data transfer. And we design our dies with more than just quality in mind. We also look for efficiency in production, too. When multi-unit castings of various quantities are required, we design tooling which will make the most efficient use of the many casting machines we have available. This assures you faster service and, more often than not, significant cost savings.

Additional Services
PDCCO can also produce closely controlled hardware finish on most of our castings. In fact, we seek to be competitive in many secondary finishing operations. And, we can act as a shipping facility to expedite delivery to any single point or to many. Our capabilities include boxing, crating, nesting, and protective packaging.
